The Art of Writing at the Museum of Art-DeLand
Join us on the first Sunday of each month for the Art of Writing, a creative writing experience led by author Corrine Kenner at the Museum of Art–DeLand.
Together, we’ll use art as a starting point for fiction, poetry, and personal reflection.
Each 90-minute session begins in the upstairs galleries, where you’ll spend 15 minutes with a single work of your choice. From there, we’ll head to the classroom, where Corrine will help you shape your impressions into words.
The focus is on craft, not critique. You’ll find a quiet, creative space to write and be inspired—whether you’re developing a work in progress or simply open to possibility.
All writers 16 and older are welcome. Please bring a laptop or a notebook. You’re also welcome to bring a sketchbook. Please note that pens are not allowed in the galleries; we’ll have pencils for you.
Details: We meet from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month at the Museum of Art–DeLand, 100 N. Woodland Blvd. in DeLand. Click here for a map. Walk-ins are welcome.
