Writer Wrangler
Help participating writers feel prepared and keep the evening running smoothly.
- Welcome participating writers.
- Confirm each writer has arrived.
- Remind writers of the three-minute format and one- or two-sentence introduction.
- Keep time during each reading.
- Give readers a discreet signal when 30 seconds remain.
- Coordinate with the host throughout the evening.
Book Sales
Help readers discover great books and make purchasing easy.
- Assist writers as they arrange their books and display cards.
- Keep the table neat and attractive.
- Confirm PayPal, Venmo, or cash payments.
- Hand books to purchasers.
- Help writers collect any unsold books after the event.
Event Photographer
Capture the spirit of the event and help Volusia Writers promote future events.
- Take photos during each event. Aim for a variety of wide-angle images, portraits, and close-up detail shots.
- Share high-quality images with Volusia Writers after the event.
